From: Pfc. Adamsky Subject: Wright Museum AAR On 10 July 2011, Pfc. Adamsky of 1st Platoon, Baker Company, 104th IR, 26th YD HRG took part in the annual “Family Day” at the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro, NH. I arrived at 0930 hours and set up a display of standard infantry equipment. The show opened to the public at 1100 hours and closed at 1500 hours. The show consisted of the museum, military vehicles running rides for the public, and static WWII military displays. Along with the Yankee Division display, were displays from SSgt. Brian Dugrenier of Heavy Weapons Co. of the 1st ID, as well as elements from the Marines, Navy, and 10th Mountain Div. A great chow, consisting of hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, and soda, was provided by the museum at great relief to the soldiers present. The public loved the displays and uniforms. I had a great time talking to the public and educating them about the GI of WWII, as well as seeing the other displays there. Many YD business cards were handed out and I even talked to a few possible recruits. Overall the event was a great success. Respectfully Submitted, Pfc. Anthony Adamsky 1st Plt, B Co, 104th IR, 26th Div. |
